What we collect
- Receipt data you send us: product names, model numbers, SKUs, prices paid, purchase dates, store location, and your delivery ZIP code.
- Your email address, if you give it to us.
- Basic usage data: which items you scanned, what we found, and whether you unlocked details.
What we never collect
- Retailer logins or passwords. We never ask and the product does not have a field for them.
- Full payment card numbers. If a receipt shows a card, we keep only the last four digits and the brand.
- Your inbox. We do not request email account access.
What we do with it
We use receipt data to check prices for you. We keep an anonymised record of which products people scan and what prices we found, so the service gets faster and cheaper for everyone — one price check can serve many people looking at the same product.
What we don't do with it
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your receipts with retailers. If we ever offer aggregate pricing insights commercially, that data will be aggregated and de-identified, contractually barred from re-identification, and you will be told before it happens.
How long we keep it
Receipt data for 24 months, so you can look back at what you scanned. Delete your account and we remove it within 30 days. Anonymised price observations are kept indefinitely because they contain nothing about you.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of it. Email privacy@notfinalprice.com and we'll action it. We don't require a reason.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to what's needed to operate the service.
