What we do

We check publicly listed retail prices on behalf of consumers who have already bought an item and want to know whether their retailer's own price-match policy applies. We are not a competitor, we do not resell price data, and we do not republish catalogues.

How we behave

• We identify ourselves honestly in our user agent as NotFinalPriceBot with a link to this page. We do not rotate IP addresses to evade blocks.
• We respect robots.txt. If your site disallows us, we report "no data" to the customer rather than working around it.
• We never log in, never create accounts, and never access anything behind authentication.
• We cache aggressively and re-check a given product no more than once every four hours.
• We use official APIs and affiliate feeds wherever a retailer offers them, in preference to reading pages.
• We request at a low, steady rate and back off immediately on any error response.

Why you might want us here

Every check we run is on behalf of a customer who already bought from someone. When we find that your price is lower, we send that customer to your listing. When we find your price is competitive, we tell them so.
