Watching one item costs $9.99. If the window closes with nothing found — which happened to five of the seven items in our own testing — that's what you spent, and there's no refund on it. The watching genuinely happened, every day.
If we tell you there's money and the page turns out to be stale, wrong, or a different model, we refund the unlock fee. No questions, 30 days. Stale retailer pages are our known failure mode and we're not going to charge you for one.
Because a percentage of a refund is a percentage of money you don't have yet. You might not file. They might say no. The price we found might have moved.
Charging 25% of a number that hasn't landed means we get paid whether or not you do, and it means our incentive is to make the number look big. A flat fee you see before you pay doesn't have that problem.
Sometimes not, and we'll say so. On the receipt we tested — four items, $564.96 — the two items worth watching found $46.00 between them on the very first check. At $18.99 for the pair that's a clear win, and there were still 59 days of checking left to run.
