Rather you hear it now than after you've paid. This same list appears in the app before your first charge.
Retailers don't let third parties act on your account, and we're not going to ask you for your Best Buy password to get around that. Filing is yours — a tap on the price-match button on your order page, a chat, or a phone call.
Some apps in this space do ask for your login. We decided not to, because holding thousands of retailer credentials makes us worth breaking into.
We're an information service. The refund goes from the retailer to your card. We never touch it, we never see it, and we don't take a cut of it.
In our testing on 29 July 2026, 2 of 7 items had a claimable price match. Most scans find nothing. You're paying us to look, not to succeed, and you're charged either way.
Price matching is store policy, not law. It gets denied, sometimes for reasons that don't make sense. Policies also change without notice — Target ended competitor price matching on 28 July 2025 and most people still don't know.
Some sites block automated price checks. We respect that rather than working around it, which means occasional gaps. When we can't check somewhere, we tell you which one and why instead of quietly leaving it out.
Retailer pages sometimes serve cached data. We check every date on a page against today and flag anything stale — during testing we caught a Target listing showing a price from before a June increase. But we can miss one, which is why the app says "possible $X back — verify before you call" and never "you're owed $X."
We check every retailer that counts, we run the eligibility rules that decide whether a claim survives contact with a real employee, and we hand you everything you need on one screen. We tell you when we found nothing, and we tell you when we couldn't look.
That's the whole product. It's narrower than what some apps promise, and all of it is true.
